For the past decade, my blend of live sax with DJ sets has made a lasting impact at high-end events worldwide, combining the versatility of a DJ with the appeal of a live musician.

I’m Tim Lacatena, a Los Angeles-based DJ and Saxophonist. With over a decade in high-end events, I've DJ’d for Super Bowl LVII, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Google, Gucci, Porsche, BMW, Adidas, IBM Think, Space Center Houston (NASA), New Orleans Jazz Fest (Sazerac House), NEOM Saudi Arabia, Dreamforce, The Emmys, and opened for Alanis Morissette as DJ/saxophonist.

I’m based in Los Angeles and DJ/play saxophone all over the country and globally, with a focus on SoCal (LA, OC, San Diego, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara). I also DJ often in Vegas, Phoenix, and San Fran.

I DJ events ranging from corporate conferences, brand activations, and networking functions to cocktail hours, premieres, dance parties, festivals, and galas.

Bio: From Super Bowl LVII to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Silicon Valley tech conferences, my goal is to create electrifying experiences. With over a decade in high-end events, I've performed globally for Super Bowl LVII, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Google, Gucci, Adidas, Porsche, BMW, IBM Think, Space Center Houston (NASA), Alanis Morissette (Opening DJ), New Orleans Jazz Fest (Sazerac House), NEOM Saudi Arabia, Dreamforce, The Emmys, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Montblanc Madison Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Moët & Chandon, Coinbase, VMware, Zillow, Pure Storage, Princeton University, and the NFL. My work has spanned Italy, Cayman Islands, St. Barths, Hawaii, LA, NYC, San Fran, Austin, San Diego, Vegas, Phoenix, and Miami. I began my career as a ballet dancer and actor in films like "Step Up”. Trained at School of American Ballet, the Royal Ballet in London, and Berklee College of Music.

Music: I love crafting diverse sets that span genres and eras, from uplifting remixes to classic throwbacks, Top 40 jams, and must-sing anthems. I’m a fan of nu disco, funky house, electro pop, and Saint-Tropez vibes. By adapting in real-time, I ensure your event’s musical tastes are flawlessly met. My library has over 10,000 songs from all genres and decades.
